Love Yourself III by Dj Neo24
Hey fans. Hope everyone's summer was a great one. Seems this year was pretty hectic for alot of people. I am one of those people for sure. I am still clearing this madness closet out. But on that note i would like to apologize for not keeping my loop going like i once did when i started this thing as a business. It's crazing when i thing about it how i turned this hobby of mines into a business. It makes me question "What have i done?". Cause you can lose love something you do as business because the pleasure can be swept away under all the pressures of getting money at the end of the day. And as that dwindles lower and lower, you can than be sucked into a world of darkness, that feels like there's no hope of emerging from. BUT!! There is always "HOPE". And man hope is such a beautiful thing when you hold on to it. Thats what i am holding on to these days and it has comfort me in a way i don't think i will ever forget. It's one thing to be able to play tunes, but it's another when you can play the RIGHT tunes. And i have been blessed with the power to do just that. So now i hold on to hope and as this year ends hope will take all my progress i have made this year and double for the next year to come. Because at the end of the day i still rather have my music than this money.
WHEW!!! I had to preach to the stars for a second there. lol. Well guys on other note there are NEW TUNES!!!! YESS!!!!. I have been blessed with a new series of sounds i like to call "Love Yourself". And i have just released Vol. IIII of this series and upload Vol. III on SoundCloud. And i must the latest of this series has given me gooses bumps. and i don' think it's because halloween i around the corner but i think it's because it's full of classic house tunes that i didn't grow up on but i understand like i lived it. On other note i would like to take this time to thank all those who carried me through o my recent Vacation back home to the city of love San Francisco. I went out there initially for the lovefest or Lovevolution as they call it now. and sadly enough i did not even attend the event. There was NOOOOO excitment over it when i landed there and it was sadly enough "No Lovevolution". Seems the changes to the festival weren't in the best interest of the fans. Heard it basically costed $115 to enjoy the whole event, an event that use to be FREE. Shame on the promoter for destroying something that actually had meaning to itself when it was called LOVEFEST. But it's all good i made up the time with family, friends, and business associates. Did a photoshoot while in town and it went great thanks to Dirk Wyse from WyseVisions.Com and loved my Ria time that i was given. Here are a few photos from the trip. More photos on my FB page.

So YEAAAAA alot of new stuff right? well hell yeaaa. i got new mixes, a new residency, and alot of new parties you will be able to catch me at for the next few weeks. where to start. Well how about my new residency. YEA after a year of being in the busty city of the big apple i have finally landed myself in a new venue i get to call HOME. This venue is brand NEW to the NYC and it settled in the busty boro of Brooklyn which will be home for NJ Nets soon. (wondering if now it will be the NY Nets). This Venue... WAIT! It's not named "this venue" so let me stop calling it that, let me take the time and introduce you to my new home The Social Butterfly.

yea thats the front of my new home where i can say LET THERE BE HOUSE. I am very thankful for this great oppertunity and it's timing couldn't have been better. the presitge owner of this venue is an old school NYC house dj prince albert. A dj from the late 80's and 90's and he's still throwing it down strong as the day he started. Now he has built a house that show nothing but class. The drinks are fairly priced and taste better than most places i have been. There are 3 big screen TV's for your entertainment and than there also a dance floor that can hold 80 people at one time.
you can catch me at home EVERY thursday for Essential Thursdays. Myself and Dj RT will be throwing it down with the best of the best when it comes to house. And great thing about this party is that it's FREE!! Yes, FREE!! So yea come on down join in on some Essential Thursdays.

Wow. Thats all i can say right now about this past weekend. Man it's was killer of a sports weekend. I mean from "A Chosen Few" NYC skate comp straight to todays Skate session. I enjoy skating alot and i have took the chance to embrace once on my return back to this big apple city. And yesterdays comp brought some of the cities best of the best in the scene. And these guys weren't playing. And due to my late arrival i did NOT get to see the first round but if it was anything like the 2nd and 3rd than it must have been SICK.
One thing you realize when being a skater is that you are prune to be kick-out of certain areas and thus is what about at the first spot for this challeneging Competition. After getting off the train and not seeing no one i was given a certain call tell me that everyone was boarding the ferry to staten island to throw down at spot two. Good timing because i ran my but off to get on that ferry and thus is where i was greeted by my "Skate Gear Saviour" Greg from "Tri-State Skate Shop" located in Upstate NYC. Not only did he deliver me my 50/50 Frames but he also brought Frame bolt for my skates which have turned nearly impossible for me to find. And this not the first time Greg has successful come through for me and he still does it with a smile. And i must say for a moment i didn't think i was gonna be able to skate but with determination i was able to rig my new nimhs together and test them out for a slight while.
Man this Comp was really interesting. And no one got injured. NICE!!! Shout out to the winners of the comp.

Hey PEEPS!!! What's up!. How's it going? Hope all is shiny for you as it is for me. "NO MATTER how bad you have it, there's alway someone out there who has it worst." That keeps me going. Through all these ups and down, Promises and faking people it seems the road to success is a hard road. But you have to stay positive. Now that i am back in my HOMETOWN on NYC i have started being able to stay on my toes. No Doubt thats what this city does to you. And with my newly re-founded home-base is NYC and thus with the changing and the sounds of today elevating i have decide to upgrade myself thus i set my aself aprt from the others you consider a DJ. Dj Neo24 (LIVE SET) from 2nd Sunday NYC w/ Bryan Boogie by DjFanRecords
WHATS UP! (scream face). lol. hey peeps. Hope everyone is having a so far great new year. Even with all this unexplainable weather of nature we are experiencing ALL over the globe. Seem father time and mother nature haven't been getting along lately. Well will he learn. So guys i know you been waiting for some new news and well here it is.
First let me take the time and say that with trial comes error and you either learn from it or complain and turn back. Well i my friend am not a easy quiter (i have quitted before). So believe me when i say an activity DJ is a wealthy dj (in the sense of wealth, experience, and tides), lately my run as not been so busy, so there hasn't been really anything new to mention.
BUT i have a new mix out that you can listen to. it's was recorded live by Dj:Fan Records which was great due to the doc martin recording set not being it's best. but this one is truly one for the team. This was at 2nd Sunday NYC ft Bryan Boogie.

Another note, is the announced set-to be release of my first Single+Album "Cafe Rylonca"... This is maybe going to be the highlight of this year for me right as of now. This track/single is taking back to lovely days latin drums. ALOT of latin flava in your ears with this one. And the single will feature remixes from some very well known friends of mines. Here you can listen to a Sample of the single "Cafe Rylonca"
This single/album will be one of Dj:Fan Records first official release. This might be one of the labels greatest achievements they have been turned down by a few artist to be featured on the label. It makes me glad to know i am doing this album because even if this label doesn't go sky high in the beginning, but if you believe in something and are patient all in the good will show it self in the end. Well this is all i got for now but i am hoping to have something new to tell you in the near future. I will say this i have a feeling a tour is coming up and i will be sure to tell you guys soon as i see what happens. Till next time Peace, Love and House Music!

This is bound to be a night of great friends, great memories, and undoubtably great music.
As a token from the evening, Dj:Fan Records will be recording the whole night. Recordings will will be available for sale shortly after the night. We will be donating all sales to a charity of Dj Neo24's choice.

Heard these lyrics last night at a hip-hop battle and i must say it was off the hook. Kats were throwing it down like nobodies business up in there. Had me definitely rocking to the beat of their lyrics. This all went down at sapphire lounge. And i was in the house representing Dj:Fan Records.
The record label is a slow movement my friends and they are doing what they can to get by and survive this "cold-cut-loving-world". Yeaaaa you like that one. lol. But i am happy to be a apart of what they are doing and creating. They are revolutionizing the way music is given to the fan and the way fans repay artists. Dj:Fan Records is going in a skyward direction and taking us all along for the ride. So peeps if you haven't add the Facbook page. Whats up fans. longtime no speak. It's been a minute. I know! where have i been? I don't even know. But i guess what? I'M BACK!!!!... and it feels so good to be back. And i have brought some friend along with me. A.K.A Dj:Fan Records from NYC. Yeaaa. Things are looking good. Well i am going to keep this short and brief. 1. we are revamping the website. So stay alert for a whole new face lift and bad ass body. yea it's gonna be sweet. 2. i will be in SF for lovefest (even though it's canceled: shame on the lovefest staff) 3. I will be in the UK soon so be sure to be on the look out for that. And 4. Yes I am back and guess i ain't going NOWHERE. This is what i do and this is who i am.

so what's up, what's up, what's up. so it's been awhile since the sites been up dated, but for very good reasons my friend. and i would like to say it's all being taken care by me (DJ), myself(NEO), and I(24). yep i have taken full control over everything you hear, see and read. and i would like to say thanks to those who are giving me support love and prosper through this crazy time. so for you who don't know what i am talking about and wondering what i will fill you in. so on JULY 22 i was booked to open at $2 tuesday at Club NV. it was an 18 and up event. for those who are not familiar with club nv let me paint you a quick picture. it is on howard street in san francisco. it a majority a hip-hop, top 40's, reggae, and reggaeton club. it is 2 floored. the dj booth is located on the second with open view and only protected by waist high railings. it is also run by sfclubs which owns city nights, a.k.a club x, which is where i resident at on friday nights. and they wanted to try something new at nv on tuesdays. so usually on tuesday nights the upperstairs is closed off to the public and mostly only employees and friends are allowed up stairs. so with that in mind i didn't really think anything of my bag being in a reachable length of party-goer. after finishing up my set and switch ing the laptop with dj twist i put my laptop in my bag. i dj'ed from 10pm-11:3o. at that time there was an average of around 300 people which the downstair accommodated pretty well. and there was a security guard at the stair case to make sure no one who shouldn't be stair got by. around 12am there was probably 20-30 people upstairs including 5 people in the dj booth. i asked the main dj(twist) if he would like a drink. and he said yes. there is 4 bars inside nv, 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs. but the only ones open tuesdays are the ones downstairs. and the bar i headed to reseeds under the 2nd floor and about 7 feet under the dj booth. when i was heading down the stair the security at the stair case was still present and wasn't preparing to move anytime, even turning away a group of people as i went down, and plus it's already past 12 so it's pretty obvious upstairs would be closed all night. LOL. i was downstairs for about 10min. after getting the two drinks i returned upstairs and a i notice on my way up that there was no security guard present at the staircase anymore. and now there was about 75 people up stairs. yea tell me about it. so i went into the dj booth which and handed the other drink to twist and mentioned to twist "Hey they are allowing people up here?". so out the corner of my eyes i notice that my dj bag was open. i thought "hey maybe i left it hope"(which very i mean very rarely do.) as i approach the bag i notice that it seem like there was a bigger gap inside than usually. so when i looked inside i noticed NO LAPTOP. yep! no laptop. and i checked around the dj booth but no luck. and i gave a big shout "OH SHIT. MY LAPTOP, HOLY SHIT ETC." you get the point. in about 2 minute i was daring for the emergency exit to get downstairs fast and let the HOS(head of security) know the situation. at that time a friend started notifying all employees. within 10mins all employees on and off duty were on alert of the situation. i stood outside for awhile hoping to see the robber try to get out. there was alot going on at once so it was pretty hard for me. but my good friends. rashelle, marky mark, mario, and others were being my other eyes. we searched and searched and as "much" as security tried to help catch the person. i mean they didn't even say anything to anybody about opening upstairs. anybody's laptop could have gotten stolen. and somehow it was mines. and the person made a clean getaway. yep with a 15in $10,000+ worth laptop (upgrades, programs, music, etc.) that night was a very life wrecking night. i don't think the person realized what they did to me. i mean they pretty much stole my career from me in a way. so after figuring out hey hope is really low and the clubs already closed maybe call it in and see what happens. did that 2 days later. because i had to be in the city to do report it. but live 20+miles out the city and go in on thursday. i felt like shit for awhile. and also let me mention i was to leave for NYC on JULY 27th. which was the coming sunday and i could NOT put off the trip due to family emergency(my father being departed and family shop closing down). so i only had a hope of 6 days. so the story goes on and cause such a bad ripple effect on my life where now money has gone in the opposite direction for me and people are being flaky with "PROMISES"(i am pretty sure you get the idea of what the promises were) and i have gone back to very low hour giving 9-5 job and hold on to rising back up again. and i give my biggest thanks to these guys for that night. unfortunately there's alot and i mean ALOT(just not in the mood for the story anymore) to this story and i am not going to go to much deeper into it right now. but feel free to contact with any question regarding it and i will answer them.

So we have made some slight changes to the website. Slowly but surely www.djneo24.com is becoming a better site. And Neo himself made this little intro video ( click here ). which we at N24 though was pretty good for a DJ. So we gotta give him props for trying. So look forward to many more changes and keep in touch.
